JIM ROTHENBERG
"The Future of the Economy"
Jim Rothenberg is President of Capital Research and Management Company (CRMC). He serves on the Boards of CRMC, the Capital Group Companies, Inc. (CGC), American Funds Distributors, Inc., and the American Funds Service Company. In addition, Jim is a portfolio counselor for the Growth Fund of America, the Investment Company of America, and Washington Mutual Investors Fund. Jim is also the Chairman of The Growth Fund of America, Fundamental Investors, a Trustee of the American Variable Insurance Series, and Executive Vice President and a Director of the Investment Company of America.
Jim joined Capital in 1970 after receiving an MBA (with distinction) from Harvard University. Jim is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and serves as a director of the Huntington Memorial Hospital, the Westridge School, and KCET. He is a Governor of the National Association of Securities Dealers (the NASD). Rothenberg is the Treasurer of Harvard University and serves on the dean's advisory councils of both the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Business School, as well as the executive committee of the Committee on University Resources. |
